Energetics welcomes Olivia Kember to our Strategy team as Manager, Policy and Strategy working with Dr Peter Holt and Dr Gordon Weiss.

We are delighted that Olivia has joined Energetics, bringing her years of experience in climate policy analysis and advocacy to our strategic advisory services.

In her most recent role, Olivia was acting CEO of The Climate Institute and Head of Policy.  The Climate Institute, was an independent research and advocacy organisation focused on Australia’s response to climate change.  As Head of Policy, Olivia provided analysis and commentary on national electricity policy and state government decarbonisation strategies.  She presented and engaged with stakeholders across government, peak industry bodies, finance, media and NGOs.  An accomplished professional, Olivia directed and co-authored many publications informing the decarbonisation of Australia’s energy mix and helping organisations understand and respond to the economic and social impacts of climate change.  Her most recent work, A Switch in Time: Enabling the Electricity Sector's Transition to Net Zero Emissions, has been cited in reports by the International Energy Agency, the Queensland Renewable Energy Expert Panel, the Climate Change Authority and First State Super.

For those with responsibilities in energy and carbon management, whether in government or business, 2017 has brought a range of climate change-related risks to the fore. Energetics can help you with the challenges and identify the opportunities in a low carbon future – and Olivia’s skills and experience are a great addition to our team.

Olivia is based in Energetics’ Sydney office. You can also look forward to reading her analysis and insights through our newsletter.
