A multidisciplinary senior climate and environmental risk professional, Ling has extensive experience in identifying the impacts of climate change on business and economics. Through her advisory work, Ling strengthens and aligns risk and governance practices to facilitate decision making, improve accountability, and prioritise resources to address material areas of risk and opportunity. Ling provides thoughtful and actionable advice to senior executives, board directors and governments through a collaborative approach to engagement.
Ling has over 15 years of experience evaluating the economic impacts of policy in insurance, risk management, program implementation and regional transition. She is accomplished in economic modelling, experimental economics and econometric techniques. She has previously worked in the insurance industry, World Bank Disaster risk financing group and on flood insurance research in the UK and USA. Her published research has been referenced in IPCC reports, World Bank reports and academic publications. Her depth of experience across international projects is invaluable in assessing risks, the likely success of economic outcomes and determining optimal strategies to manage risk.
