Rob is a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) expert and one of the most experienced LCA practitioners in Australia. He delivers strategic LCA projects which offer clients new insights that better inform decisions. For example, when Transport for NSW (TfNSW) required a life cycle based greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting tool that would enable contractors to assess the GHG emissions of infrastructure projects in a simple, transparent and consistent way, Energetics developed the CERT tool. The tool not only allows measurement and reporting of embodied emissions in infrastructure projects, it can be used to drive improvements in design.

Rob actively contributes to the development of the Australian LCA sector, as seen in his roles in the Australian LCA Society (ALCAS). He is a past President (2013-2015) and drives progress through AusLCI (which develops a national life cycle inventory database for Australia) and the sector’s first Practitioner Certification Scheme. Rob is also a member of the Technical Advisory Group for the Australasian Environment Product Declaration (EPD) Programme. Rob is also a registered consultant for Climate Active, Australia's collective initiative for climate action.
