In the October edition of Company Director, the publication of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, our CEO Dr Mary Stewart was interviewed about the evolution of climate disclosure and changes we will see in 2024, more specifically the implications of International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) S2 standard for climate disclosures on Australian businesses. As she explains, “It doesn’t matter where your company is on its reporting journey, the new standards are going to bring new challenges. There’s going to be greater responsibility for boards to make sure that companies are getting this right — and right means that you’ve taken a transparent, evidence-based and auditable approach to calculating the financial impact of material climate risks and opportunities.”
