Energetics brings new capability with Energy and Carbon Markets and Energy Accounting services

On 1 August 2024, ERM announced the completion of the acquisition of Energetics. This follows approval from the Australian Foreign Review Investment Board in July.

Energetics joins ERM’s climate change and corporate sustainability practice and adds significant strength and depth to its services in decarbonisation strategy and reporting, climate risk assessment and adaptation planning. Energetics also brings specific and market leading capabilities in energy markets and services to help de-risk businesses and investors engaging in Australia’s energy transition.

Together, Energetics and ERM will become the leading climate change advisory organisation in Australia and New Zealand, with a team of over 150 people.

We are also delighted that Andrew Tipping, Bahador Tari, Michael Bosnich, Gilles Walgenwitz, Anita Stadler and Dr Mary Stewart are ERM Partners.

Dr Mary Stewart continues to lead the Energetics' team.

40 remarkable years

Over our 40 years, Energetics is proud to have supported our clients in responding to the risks of our changing climate and the transition to clean energy. Our experts have developed strategies and innovative solutions across every sector of Australia’s economy and have long-standing relationships advising some of Australia’s largest businesses.

When we sought an investor who could extend our reach and impact, it was quickly apparent that ERM is strongly aligned with Energetics’ purpose and values.

We are excited for the opportunities ahead and for what our combined expertise and shared beliefs can bring to address the challenges of climate change and create a safer, more sustainable future.
