Ready for net zero: what do organisations need to do between now and 2050?

In the July edition of Company Director, the publication of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Dr Peter Holt was interviewed about net zero strategies and the importance of understanding what impact the changing climate has on a business’ risk profile. As he explains, “The key risk is the rate of transformation. It’s been very difficult for organisations — particularly with political uncertainty around climate policy — to provide firm direction with confidence. Now, financial investors are rapidly moving capital into lower-risk opportunities that have factored in the decarbonising economy, support the clean energy transition or have demonstrated climate resilience.”
